Exalt
Did you know the word “exalt” is found at least 97 times in the Bible? I didn’t!
I read Psalm 99 this morning and copied verse 9 in my journal:
Exalt the Lord our God and worship at his holy mountain, for the Lord our God is holy.
Here are some other verses where it is found:
Psalm 30:1 -
I will exalt you, Lord, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me.
Job 37:23 -
The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power; in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress.
I found myself wondering, “What does it look like to exalt God in our daily lives? How do we do it?”
The definition is to “hold (someone or something) in very high regard; think or speak very highly of”.
Just as we would revere a human king, we need to remember God as the King of the universe.
Yes, He is our loving, compassionate Father.
Yes, He loved us so much to die for us.
But He is also
the Alpha and the Omega
the Creator of all.
He is worthy of ALL our praise all day long.
How do you exalt God in your day-to-day life?
